The Better Way to Find a Place.

Have a big group of friends that just can’t decide where to eat? Yeah, we’ve all been there. We are the solution to this everyday problem. Locality is a social platform that matches you and yours with the restaurants that best suit the collective whole, all based off of personalized criteria.

Based on user research within adults over 18 years old, user scenarios were created to give a detailed description of our audience. Illustrating relevant situations, such as conversations and decision making between individuals, help to understand the practical needs and behaviors of our user base.

User Scenario:

User Flows were created to place hierarchy into the functionality of Locality. Multiple aspects of the functionality seemed to be equally important, so further user research was conducted to understand needs and behaviors of the target audience.

User Flow:

Evolving from the user flows, Lo-Fidelity wireframes were developed to create a more realistic sense of how the user will be able to see and use the product. Specific functions, such as the swiping features of finding a restaurant and the processes of reserving a time with a group were developed further through these wireframes.

Lo-Fidelity Wireframes:

Once the Lo-Fi wireframe’s functionality were finalized, Hi-Fidelity wireframes were developed using Locality’s branding. Through competitor analysis, it was discovered that most competitors follow a similar color scheme. To differentiate from the competition, a more subtle, yet refined brand allowed for interest and recognition from the users.
